Now that the skylounge joinery varnishing is complete, the highly skilled carpenters have started re-installing this onto the vessel. Once complete, it will be ready for the selection of the soft coverings and furnishings to be made by a new owner. To move this area through to completion would be a very quick process indeed.
This area is designed as an additional private lounging area with a full cinema surround sound system and a pop up flat screen HD television. There is the option […]
With the thermal insulation completed in the engine room installation of the Bondal acoustic sheeting has begun..
The Bondal sheets are a sandwich of 2 sheets of aluminium with a viscoelastic layer in the middle. It is this layer which gives the sheeting the very high acoustic loss factor, just another one of the ways we strive to achieve the quietest engine room operation on the seas today. The engine room ceiling, front and aft walls are of a solid sheet […]
Fairing has been applied to the hull and the fairleads are being installed. In the interior of the vessel the final layer of varnishing is being applied to the carpentry. The owner’s cabin is nearly complete and a real sense of space is possible. The light afforded by the fifteen picture windows in the owner’s suite increases the feeling of spaciousness in this generously appointed suite.
The 4 MCA emergency escape hatches and 1 large foredeck hatch have been installed on board the vessel.
To satisfy the MCA Large Commercial Yacht code, every accommodation compartment on board an MCA vessel shall be provided with 2 means of escape. The main reasoning for this is that if the primary escape route is blocked due to fire, a secondary route can be used.
To accomplish this, when designing a vessel, the compartments at either end of the vessel need extra […]
The bases for the hand rails have now been installed.
They are ready to accept the polished stainless steel rails. These will not be manufactured until closer to the launch date so as to minimise the chances of them being scratched or damaged and to facilitate easier fairing and paint application. Due to the fact that the rail is stainless steel and the superstructure is aluminium there could be a chance of electrolytic corrosion between the 2 metals. To overcome this […]
The 3 Econosto fuel sight glasses have been bolted on to the welded flanges of the vertical tanks in the engine room. We designed these tanks to be vertical two frame tanks to give extra distance between the engine room and the accommodation areas, providing extra noise attenuation and a quieter environment in the guest areas. The central day tank is where the consumers draw their fuel from, after it has passed through the […]
Our latest vessel the 41m / 135′ motoryacht is currently under construction at JFA Yachts in Northern France. This CGI video gives a good overview of the large interior and exterior of the superyacht. The video shows the global explorer arriving at a far flung destination, it then zooms in so as we can see the Sun Deck and the forward seating area in use: friends and family relaxing and enjoying each others […]
The varnishing in the owners cabin, his and hers bathrooms, and walk in wardrobe has been completed now, and the final coats are going on the owners private lounge and office areas. Covering a full 73 sqm, with 15 large picture windows, this area will be bathed in natural light giving exceptional views out across the waters and bays as you explore the exotic destinations of the worlds most outstanding cruising grounds.
The through hull piping, bracing and safety valves for the main engine exhaust system have been bought and installed.
At low RPM’s the exhausts exit through the bypass above the waterline to keep exhaust back pressures down. Once vessel speed increases the exhausts exit through the underwater section of the exhaust system reducing noise levels and redirecting the exhaust gas away from the hull. There is an underwater cowling designed to produce a venturi effect using the vessels forward motion, which […]
